A Glimmer of Financial Freedom

Had an interesting realization day before yesterday. Came back from office. Was passing by Borkar's (kind of super market) and thought of buying some snacks.

Went in. Picked up whatever the hell I was craving (definitely a couple of snacks from above) and was at the billing counter. I realized that I hadn't checked the price tags and didn't have an estimate of how much it'd cost me. Not so long ago, probably just a year back, I'd calculate how I could buy stuff within Rs. 150 every-time I went to Borkar's at college. And now, here I was, bought something worth 300 odd rupees and didn't bat an eye.
It's amazing how life changes us in ways we don't even seem to gauge unless certain situations trigger that thought process. Obviously, this is a good change for me caused by entering employment in a great organization. I feel it's important to be mindful on an everyday basis to truly enjoy life. I hadn't noticed the new financial freedom I have gotten within this one year. It's definitely something to be happy about and it took me a random craving for snacks to understand that. Or as Jake Peralta would say, it was a great snaccident 😛
