Life. Is. Now.

A warm welcome to my trails!

This blog is the fruition of my long held desire to... well... blog! It is exactly what the title suggests. I simply aim to convey my abstractions from everyday experiences. Seemingly nothing grandiose but hopefully capable of inciting some reflection upon the beauty of life. So dive right in!

The Losing Game

Saazish mein shamil sara jahaan hai. Har zarre zarre ki yeh iltija hai.

Wings of Fire

Reading the book is an exercise in nobility. Composed a poem to reminisce the indomitable spirit of Shri Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

Passion vs Parents

Every World War pales in comparison (impending and bygones alike)

The Balancing Act

Between the Clutch and the Accelerator. An epiphany of motivation.

Pursuit of Happiness

A break from my hectic job allowed me a certain solitude with the pain of mortality. A poetic effort to understand the pursuit of happiness!

Shubham Naik

Hey there! Greetings from the archetypal 26 year old engineer trying to understand life itself.

Graduated from BITS Pilani, Goa Campus with B.E. (Honours) Electronics & Instrumentation and a Minor in Philosophy, Economics and Politics. An inclination towards Public Service led me into the Goa Civil Service. Presently, working as Under Secretary (Revenue), Government of Goa. I have also worked at Deccan Fine Chemicals, an agrochemicals manufacturing company as a Controls Systems Engineer. During my undergraduate course, I have had research exposure at IIT Bombay, IIT Madras and industrial exposure at Siemens and UltraTech.

Cutting ahead of my LinkedIn description now:

I have always been in awe of the processes of human evolution: biological, psychological, socio-economical, cultural, technological, spiritual and of course; it's relation with the rest of the universe; known and unknown. It humbles us to know that there's so much we don't know. For far too long, I have wished for an outlet to my thoughts. I finally decided to be intentional about it. I have founded Reminiscence of the Present with the aim to foster among its readers a curiosity about the passage of life.
